John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. One toad rehomed today as well as loads of slugs etc. 3 large rocks hauled out and then 40 loads of mud. Don’t think scaffold is back in optimum position yet. Needs more fettling. 2½ hours. John.

Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence and Adrian Vanderplank. Pete finished off the wall with one mix then 28 buckets of rock removed. Still some left. One toad rehomed today. 2½ hours. Pete Hann.

John Cooper, Mike Kousiounis, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Saturday’s session had shown the hoist needed adjusting so this was done today. ½ hour. John.

Saturday 17th May 2025

Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Lots of rock at the bottom with some quite large pieces on the floor. Pete continued wall building, insetting the wall slightly to leave the hole found last week exposed. 25cm of wall still to be built. Adrian to the bottom afterwards to cap some of the larger rocks. Still more to cap but they are buried under a load of smaller stuff. Winch needs to be reset in order to haul this out. Adrian.

Friday 16th May 2025

John Cooper, Kate Lawrence, Claire Starsmore, Wayne Starsmore, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. John drilled 7 x 10mm holes of varying depth vertically into the ledge on the West wall. Adrian only found 6 which he demolished. The entrance ladders, hoist etc need checking as they have been moved.1½ hours. John.

John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. 40 loads of mud hauled out and left in big bucket. Used chisel drill and crowbar to take a 15cm layer of rock off the ledge on the West wall in preparation for a bang in the near future. Will need capping before Pete can use it! Kate found a small hole in the floor nearly where Pete wants to build his wall! 2½ hours. John.
