Vanderplank. Reduced team again today but still worked hard and lifted 40 loads
of mud, 5 buckets of rock, 3 frogs and 1 toad out. Filled the large tractor

John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Adrian did 2 sessions capping rock, the second being a single large chunk from the bang on Tuesday. Pete did 1 session wall building (3 mixes of cement) which also entailed hauling 2 loads of mud from his wall base. Kate cleared up at the end with 13 loads of rock and 1 load of gravel hauled out. 3 hours in the sunshine. John.
John Cooper, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Assisted by Kate, John drilled a row of 5 x 10mm holes 900mm deep vertically into the ledge on the West wall. Adrian then charged them, topped up the holes with water to act as stemming and, after removing the bottom ladder which is now heavier, destroyed them. Should be some rock for Pete to continue wall building at the South end of the entrance shaft on Saturday. 1½ hours. John.
