John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Kate at the bottom loading. We took the bottom ladder out and Pete bolted on another section whilst we hauled 42 loads of mud out. Pair of mating toads removed and transfered to more suitable accommodation. At the end put the extended ladder in. Next need to bang out the West wall ledge, then Pete will have lots of rock for building up the South end. Probably 3 or 4 mixes of cement next weekend. 2 hours. John.

Saturday 22nd March 2025

John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Started with Pete at the bottom with one mix of cement building up the South end. Once done 20 loads of mud sent up. Then Pete came out and Kate went in. Total of 9 loads of rock and another 13 loads of mud hauled out. In addition 3 frogs rehomed today. Depth at end of session measured at 9.6m. 2 hours. John.

Saturday 15th March 2025

John Cooper, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Noel Cleave came over to photograph the entrance. I think he was impressed, by the hospitality too. Cool, sunny and dry again today. Thursday’s session had left a bench on the West wall which can be taken down further in another couple of weeks time. Pete and Kate sent to the bottom to clear out. Initially a couple of loads of rock and then 10 of mud. Two mixes of cement then sent down for Pete to continue walling up the South end. Kate then free climbed Pete's wall to get out as we had removed the bottom ladder whilst hauling. Then another 20 loads of mud hauled out so a total of 30 in the big bucket at the end of the session. Another cementing and hauling session next weekend. 2 hours. John.

Thursday 13th March 2025

John Cooper, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Assisted by Kate, John drilled a row of 5 x 10mm holes 900mm deep vertically into the ledge on the West wall. Adrian then charged them, topped up the holes with water to act as stemming and, after removing the bottom ladder, destroyed them. Should be some rock for Pete to continue wall building at the South end of the entrance shaft on Saturday. 1½ hours. John.

Saturday 8th March 2025

John Cooper, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Cool, sunny and drier again today. First of all Adrian went down to cap the boulder in the floor. Sent up in 3 buckets. Then Kate replaced Adrian and the ladder was removed. This then allowed Kate to sent up another couple of loads of rock from below Pete’s wall followed by 24 loads of mud so that Pete can continue wall building next week. 1 frog rehomed today. All buckets then emptied. 2 hours. John.

Saturday 1st March 2025

John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Kate Lawrence, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Cool but sunny and drier today. With Kate and Jude at the bottom 42 loads were hauled out. 30 went into the big bucket and 12 were left in the small ones. Next session one rock at the bottom needs capping then the bottom ladder will need removing to allow the bottom of the shaft and Pete’s walling space to be dug out. 2 frogs rehomed today. 2 hours.
